SIC (US 1987) : The Whitehall Township Fire Department is proud to announce the arrival of a new pumper at the West Catasauqua fire station.
The new apparatus is a 2017 Pierce Enforcer model with a Pump Under Chassis design which allows for greater compartment space.
Truck committee members spent the past two years planning and preparing for the truck. This included building a new addition on to the West Catasauqua Fire Station to accomodate the vehicle. The pumper, which cost approximately $600, 000. 00 was purchased with funds by the Township and the Whitehall Township Volunteer Firefighters Relief Association. It is the first new piece of apparatus in the Township since 2009. This vehicle is identified as Engine 3711. It replaces a 1988 Hahn pumper at the West Catasauqua station. Additional apparatus updates are planned, including a new pumper for the Egypt fire station which will arrive in 2018.
