SIC (US 1987) : HISTORY Sycamore Estate was founded in 1988 by Patricia and Harry Moore. Pat with 30 years’ experience as an RN together with Harry with as many years’ experience in construction, to open this quality residence. Their daughters, Cheryl Moore who was there in the beginning and Carol Moore who joined shortly after continue the tradition of superior care today. Cheryl has acted as the Executive Administrator since 1988. She has a BA from the University of Pittsburgh and is a registered nurse for Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing. She has been actively involved in industry trade groups such as Partners in Personal Care, Assisted Living Facility Association, and was President of NAAPCH a Pennsylvania Networking group. In 2006 new regulations for personal care homes were enacted. Cheryl acted as a consultant to other personal care homes seeking to achieve compliance. She is currently responsible for the overall operation of Sycamore Estate, including staff training, quality management and regulatory compliance. As an RN she oversees the quality of the care your loved one will receive. “I am truly blessed to have been given the personality, qualities, and ability to be successful in this field. Carol is the Managing Administrator. Carol has an Associate’s Degree from Community College of Allegheny County, a Certificate in Food Service Safety, and has been an Emergency Medical Technician for 20 years. She is responsible for Resident Addmissions, assesments, and care coordination.
